Our expert speak in English. We will do a glass experiment altogether so you need 7 glasses and some water. And also the students need some water , a bottle of water, and a pencil for the experiment.

Acerca del proyecto Serendipity
¿Qué tienen en común Arquímedes, Newton y Galileo? Aparentemente no mucho. Sin embargo, todos ellos se han hecho famosos consiguiendo descubrimientos simplemente por suerte o aparentemente no esperados.
OBJETIVOS:
-Desarrollar en el alumnado conocimientos sobre la Ciencia.
- Mejorar las destrezas acerca de investigación y experimentación.
- Desarrollar competencias en escritura y comunicación usando herramientas informáticas.
- Usar inglés como lengua de comunicación.
- Descubrir nuevas culturas y conocer compañeros de otros países ("abrir la mente")
- Formar equipos de trabajo
PROCESO DE TRABAJO
1) Invita a los profesores y estudiantes en Twinspace (Septiembre)
2/ Diseñar un logo para el proyecto (Octubre)
3/ Romper el hielo con una descripción del alumnado y su escuela en un Padlet.
4/ Se organizarán equipos para preparar diferentes actividades. Cada mes, equipos de distintos países diseñarán diferentes actividades o presentaciones relacionadas con "Serendipity".
5/ Mayo: Se diseñará un ebook para presentar todas las actividades

Por eso estamos muy orgullosos del trabajo realizado, dado que etwinning es un trabajo que requiere la colaboración y trabajo del alumnado de varios países y nos permite aprender una gran variedad de recursos informáticos, a la vez que practicar el inglés y abrir nuestra mente conociendo personas de diversos países y culturas variadas.

As Gülay Kanatlı Secondary School, we wrote a chapter with our students for our science story book on April 15, 2021. In this episode, we talked about balloons and added a new character to the story.
Gülay Kanatlı Secondary School-Funda Çıray Özkara-Eratosthenes experiment
As Gülay Kanatlı Secondary School, we carried out the Eratosthenes experiment. In the activity we performed by following the shadow of a stick at noon, the angle of arrival of the sun's rays was calculated. Our students made measurements in three different time intervals. Then the circumference of the Earth is calculated with a simple proportion. #Eratosthenesexperiment
Gülay Kanatlı Ortaokulu olarak Eratosthenes deneyini gerçekleştirdik. Tam öğle vakti bir çubuğun gölgesini takip ederek gerçekleştirdiğimiz etkinlikte, Güneş ışınlarının geliş açısı hesaplanmıştır. Öğrencilerimiz üç farklı zaman aralığında ölçümler yapmışlardır. Ardından basit bir orantı ile Dünyanın çevresi hesaplanmıştır.
